Representatives of LIS from 18 countries demand the release of political prisoners in Belarus

Representatives of the International Socialist League (LIS) from 18 countries recorded a video appeal demanding the release of Belarusian political prisoners and an end to political repression in Belarus.

April 19 marks a year since the start of mass arrests of leaders and activists of independent trade unions in Belarus. The association "Solidarity," made up of exiled Belarusian labor leaders, will hold a rally in Berlin to demand the release of their imprisoned comrades and an end to repression by the dictatorial Lukashenko regime.

On April 12, the Socialist Workers' Movement (MST) held a protest against the repression of Belarusian authorities against trade union activists at the embassy of Belarus in Argentina as part of the international campaign "Trade Union Activity - Not Extremism!"
