The resolution approved by the European Parliament on September 13 names Alexander Lukashenko as an accomplice in the deportation of Ukrainian children from the occupied regions of Ukraine to camps in Belarus, where they are subjected to Russification and ideological treatment.
The European Parliament holds Lukashenko responsible for these war crimes, similar to Vladimir Putin and Maria Lvova-Belova.
Lukashenko's regime is also condemned for its participation in Russia's aggression against Ukraine, including supplying arms, stationing Russian troops, and threatening to join the aggression. The European Parliament is calling for the Belarusian leadership to be brought before the Special Tribunal for participating in crimes committed by Russia.
The parliamentarians also call on the European Union and EU member states to take measures to prosecute Belarusian officials who committed crimes of aggression, war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide against Ukraine.
